“Ex-Arizona” Police Officer Accused of Murder in Firing On An Unarmed Man | Breaking News Headlines
A police officer accused of the murder of an unarmed man in the “United States (US)” state of Arizona has been found not guilty.
“Philip Brailsford” shot and killed 26-years-old “Daniel Shaver” in the hallway of a hotel in early 2016.
“Bodycam footage” of the conflict, published after the verdict.
This Footage shows “Mr Shaver” on his knees asking officers not to shoot him, just before he was killed.
“Mr Brailsford” was excused of murder and a lesser assassination charge.
“Mr Shaver” was shot five times with a semi-automatic rifle as he was crawling towards the officers, sobbing.
Prosecutors contested, the officer reacted properly, According to his training when “Mr Shaver” reached towards his waistband as he thought there was a “disguised firearm” there.

“Mr Shaver” was defied by police acknowledging to a report of a man pointing a gun out of his hotel room’s window in January 2016.
The police report said he showed a rifle to his guests in his hotel room he used for work, hunting birds.
It was emerged later emerged that the rifle was an airsoft or pellet gun, rather than a genuine gun.
The report also noted, the three residents of the room had been drinking together… though one man left by the time when police arrived.
“Bodycam footage” of the firing, however, was not released to the public until after the decision.
As In the Footage, “Mr Shaver” seen leaving his room in front of armed officers, and immediately lies down on the ground.
He is Told, “Listen to my instructions and do not make any blunder”.
There follows a series of directions on “how to move his arms and legs”, which he seems unable to obey.
He is then instructed to push himself into “kneeling position” and while doing so, he places his hands behind the back, resulting in screams from police to put his hands in the air.
Officers Say, ‘If You do this again and we will shoot you’ officers say.
“Mr Shaver” responds by speaking. “Please don’t shoot me, I’m trying to do what you command me.”
A sobbing ‘Mr Shaver’ is then told to crawl towards the police and while doing so, he moves his hand towards his waist.
“Mr Brailsford” executed him five times with an ‘AR-15’ semi-automatic rifle.
> No Weapon was Found:
The initial report from Police concluded, the movement was ‘a very similar motion to someone drawing a pistol’.
But it also said, “Mr Shaver’s” shorts had fallen around his legs and forgetting his underwear exposed.
His movement ‘was also constant with trying to pull his shorts up as they were falling off’.
Furthermore, ‘No other purposes for this movement appear to be viable’ it concluded.
No weapon was found on the body but ‘Mr Bailsford’ says, he believed ‘Mr Shaver’ was approaching for a weapon in his waistband.
‘Mr Brailsford’ told the court, “If this situation occurred exactly as it did at that time, I would have done the same thing”, As Arizona Central reported.
The “Associated Press” news agency reports, “Mr Shaver’s widow”, ‘Laney Sweet’, waved her head when the decision was read and left without ‘speaking to reporters’.
Both ‘Ms Sweet and Mr Shaver’s parents’ classified ‘wrongful-death’ prosecutions against the city of ‘Mesa’, it adds.
